The owners of Chalet Balthazar, David and Zany, have been coming to Villars for the last 20 years and lived in Villars permanently for 5 of these years with their two young children. As a result they have accumulated a huge amount of information and local knowledge as well as making useful contacts and friends in the resort. We would like to share this valuable inside information with all Chalet Balthazar guests to ensure that you have the most positive experience possible while staying at Chalet Balthazar!

The Chalet Balthazar team is on hand to help you organize everything from the best ski guides, the most lovely babysitters, the best sledging routes and skidoo trips as well as top restaurant tips, great summer schools and original things to do.

Childcare - we are in contact with a number of lovely nannys and babysitters in Villars and can help you arrange childcare during your stay.

Restaurants - There are some fantastic restaurants in Villars and the surrounding area and new ones open every season. We get to try them all and can make recommendations and suggestions to our Chalet Balthazar guests.

School transition - Villars is home to some of the most excellent schools and families from all over the world send children to Villars for their education. Many of our clients come and stay at Chalet Balthazar enjoying its 'home from home' environment while visiting their children for long or short periods of time. We are here to help and provide useful introductions, advice and support on all levels making the transition from home life to school life in Villars as smooth as possible.

Ski Guides - Zany was a ski instructor and got to know most of the local guides and ski teachers in Villars. offer you suggestions and advice on who to book. This information could totally change your skiing experience!

Ski Hire - We have negotiated discounted prices for our guests at Chalet Balthazar on ski rental. Details are found in every apartment on arrival.

Cleaning / Laundry - Clients can benefit from our extra cleaning service during their stay and excellent laundry facilities are just on the doorstep. Just let us know in advance what extra cleaning you require during your stay and we will arrange this for you with our lovely concierge.

Taxi Service - We can put you in touch with our recommended taxi service whether it is just to the station or from Geneva airport.

Language Lessons - We know the best local language teachers and whether it is French, English, Spanish, Italian, German or Russian you are looking to learn while you are staying at Chalet Balthazar we can recommend the best local linguists who can teach you in the comfort of your apartment!

Private Lessons - Whether it is a private tennis lesson, swim lesson, personal work out, extra maths lesson, music lesson or art lesson you are after, we know the right people to contact - just tell us what you need!
